Johnny Payne stopped by for updated headshots. Good friend, realtor, and awesome handyman. We shot both sides of what he does so he has images that work for whichever hat he's wearing.

March was a little lighter. Work stayed close to home with indoor state track, time at CityLink capturing the culinary and phlebotomy programs, and a few headshot sessions. Also managed to sneak in a little personal travel at the beginning and end of the month.

January was a calmer month. A couple of basketball games, a few headshot sessions (individual and corporate add-ons), new CityLink cohorts getting started, and a set of product images for a local artist—smaller projects, but all good ones.

December wrapped the year up with a fun mix—an in-studio BMX shoot with the two cutest...I mean toughest, little guys and a headshot session with Dr. Betsy LeRoy. Behind the scenes, I also spent time planning studio updates and putting rental opportunities in place (stay tuned.) There was some travel mixed in too…and I quietly turned half a century old!

November had a little bit of everything—the Amazons second straight state title game, a chance to capture MHS Theater's production of Romeo and Juliet, and a few portrait sessions (corporate headshots and my annual round with the neighbor kids). And somewhere in there, Paul Sturkey threw me a really fun request!”

I also fit in a few headshot sessions, rounding out another busy month. That's why I love doing this—meet new people, see new places, and tell a little of their stories through my lens.

September brought live sports, more seniors, and a round of theater headshots. It was a fun mix—Friday night lights one day, the stage the next. At CityLink, it was the new chefs turn with the culinary training program, and I love getting to highlight their team and the work they’re doing.

September 2025 Newsletter
I started a newsletter! I’ve always liked the idea of a blog—but I’m not much of a writer. This feels like a better fit: a glimpse into my monthly adventures, through the photos and stories I get to capture for anyone who wants to follow along. (Subscribe below!)
August brought a mix of work and life—fall sports kicking off, senior sessions starting, and a variety of headshot and branding shoots with both individuals and local small businesses. I also spent time with City
